Old Fashioneds
Nick made me an old fashioned. It’s real strong, but very delicious. A sipping drink.
sugar, enough water to dissolve the sugar, rye (or any kind) whiskey, 2 dashes of Angostura bitters
Bronx Cocktail
6 parts gin. 3 parts sweet vermouth. 2 parts dry vermouth. 2 parts OJ. Shake, strain, serve in a cocktail glass.
Think Martini Cocktail but with a hint of orange flavor – there’s not enough OJ here to make it super sweet. We used Hendrick’s for these but I prefer something more, erm, ginny – balance the gin’s flavors with the amount of orange juice. Don’t go overboard with the OJ, though; this is not a gin + juice.
